Katy Potts loves teaware, probably a bit too much.

Though she was born and bred just a stone’s throw away from the Staffordshire Potteries, it wasn’t until 2006, while visiting the fairs and flee markets around the country that that she really began to discover it’s heritage and delight in the legacy (a
nd cups and saucers) that it had left behind.

In 2007, she launched Katy Potts Tea for Two.  A collection of early 20th century teaware, picked for not just for the iconic designs, but for the skill and detail used to make them. After designing a special hat box to keep them safe, the collection quickly found homes at 2 of London’s leading design-led stockists, Liberty & The V&A Museum

In 2010, this endless love of tea cups and teapots led her back to the Staffordshire Potteries to produce her own range, Utterly English Teaware.   The aim of the collection was to create something both fashionable and rich in craftsmanship, putting to good use the 250 years worth of skill and knowledge of this world famous region.

Thrange has received much press from around the world and the matching tea sets will soon be launched later this year.
